Waldron Fitness Center
Wellness Opportunities Abound
The Waldron Fitness Center opened in 2007 with a focus on fitness and community health in eastern Montgomery County, Virginia. Since 2013, the Eastmont Community Foundation has operated the center as a service to the residents of eastern Montgomery County. This is no surprise, since the foundation was established in 1982 by Dr. George R. Smith Jr., a local physician who always has a strong interest in health, nutrition and fitness.
The center strives to provide the best athletic and wellness opportunities and to help its members reach their personal fitness goals. Under the foundation, the center has added new and diverse classes to better serve the members’ ages and abilities, more certified instructors, a personal training program, expanded operating hours, Child Watch hours, and new equipment.
