
Meadowbrook Community Center
Focused on the Community
The Eastmont Community Foundation coordinated the $2.5 million redevelopment of an old nursing home in Shawsville into the Meadowbrook Community Center. Today, the Meadowbrook Community Center features the Meadowbrook Public Library, the Waldron Fitness Center, the Meadowbrook Museum and the George Gray Gallery. The facility also features community rooms and a leafy courtyard where the Eastmont Tomato Festival is held each August.
Reserve the Facility
The Meadowbrook Community Center is available for rental by local private groups. Meadowbrook Community Center rental rates for local private groups are:
Half day (up to four hours), early or evening session:
$75 (Mondays–Fridays)
$100 (Saturdays and Sundays)
The early session is noon–4 p.m.; the evening session is 5–9 p.m. Local civic or charitable organizations may be allowed to use the facility on a limited basis without a rental fee or with a reduced fee. Meadowbrook Center Office Space
Office space is now available at the Meadowbrook Center. The office space is located in the same complex as the Waldron Fitness Center, Meadowbrook Public Library, Meadowbrook Community Center and Meadowbrook Museum. All utilities and internet services are included with rent.
Most offices are approximately 190 square feet. Rental rates are $200–$300 per month. The offices are convenient to both Salem and Blacksburg. Suites are also available and could be used for satellite medical or physical therapy offices as well.
